Medicare Update

On July 16, 2008 the Senate voted to uphold HR 6331 and override Presidet Bush's veto that would have single-handedly devastated our current healthcare system.  The reimbursement cuts scheduled on July 1 have been stopped, and doctors and their Medicare patients can now continue working together to help our policy makers understand the importance of having a 'medical home.'  Mississippi Senators Cochran and Wicker both originally voted against HR 6331, however, in a bipartisan effort, they voted with seniors and their physicians on the 16th, to override the President's veto.  To thank the Senators and tell them that you value the current level of care you are receiving, please contact their offices at the numbers listed below.
